Confirm Before You Order
An OEM number match is a strong indicator of fitment, but it is not a guarantee on its own. Automated manual transmissions went through several running changes, and a number that fits one build year may not fit the next.

Before ordering, confirm:
- Transmission model and variant stamped on the unit
- Build year of the transmission, not the truck
- Retarder or non-retarder configuration
- Old-type or new-type component generation

Retarder vs. Non-Retarder
Synchronizing cone kits, engaging rings, and engaging sleeves differ between retarder-equipped and non-retarder units. These parts look similar and carry adjacent part numbers. Verify which configuration you have.

Adjusting Washers and Shims
Adjusting washers and shims are sold by exact thickness, in increments as fine as 0.04 mm. Measure the washer you are replacing rather than ordering by memory. Ordering the adjacent thickness will produce incorrect endplay.

Retaining Rings
Retaining rings are also thickness-specific. Confirm the measurement before ordering.

Complete Assemblies
Some complete assemblies are supplied with specific companion parts. Read the listing description in full — for example, an output shaft assembly may require a matching companion flange, which is listed separately.

Carbon vs. Molybdenum Cones
Synchronizing cones are offered in carbon and molybdenum versions for some applications. They are not interchangeable. Match the friction material to your build.

Installation
These parts should be installed by a qualified technician following the manufacturer's service procedure and torque specifications. Warranty coverage requires it.
