SkinAge captures a photo of your face (a biometric identifier under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, "BIPA") to estimate your "skin age" and cosmetic scores. This page explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights.

What we collect and why

When you choose to scan, SkinAge captures a selfie and uses it to estimate your skin age and cosmetic scores for entertainment and general-information purposes. Your selfie is stored securely in your private account so you can review past scans and track changes.

Consent

We collect and store your facial image only after you give explicit, written consent on the in-app consent screen, before any photo is taken.

Retention & destruction

We keep your photos while your account is active. We permanently delete them when you delete your account, and in any case no later than three (3) years after your last interaction with the app, whichever comes first.

No sale of biometric data

We never sell, lease, trade, or profit from your biometric data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not disclose it except to the service providers strictly necessary to deliver your analysis, or as permitted by law.

Your control

You can withdraw consent and permanently delete all photos at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app.
